Nationally, since 1990 Federal mandate, the entire United States began implementing a Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice as a response to the banking crisis of the late eighties. Each state implemented legislation and regulation governing appraisal practices and valuation reporting. Property Politics has fully certified and licensed appraisers who subscribe to the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Although we no longer perform primary Fee Appraisals, we do offer Appraisal Critiques and Litigation Support involving valuation. We have performed written appraisals and reviewed other's written reports for a clientele of Lenders, Law firms, Municipalities and Federal Government Agencies as well as many private sector clients. We have provided expert testimony in the Connecticut Superior Court system and have evidenced consistent fairness in our work enough to be frequently chosen as the sole appraiser in legal matters when fair and equitable real estate values are desired by both parties.
